How to Set Up Your Banner Artwork
Follow these simple rules and your banner will print sharp, true to colour and fit exactly. Not sure your file is right? Send it anyway, every order includes a free artwork check.
Build to the finished size
Set your document to the exact banner size, or to scale if your design software cannot go that large, and tell us the scale.
Resolution for distance
Banners are viewed from further away, so photos can be lower resolution at full size than small print. Vector text and logos stay crisp at any size.
Keep clear of the edges
Hems and eyelets sit around the edge, so keep text and logos well inside it. See our bleed guide.
Set colour to CMYK
RGB files can shift when printed, especially bright greens and blues. Send a reference if a brand colour must match.

Banner Materials, Hems and Eyelets
Every banner is printed in full colour with latex and UV inks for strong outdoor colour. Tell us where it is going and how it will be fixed, and we will recommend the right combination.
440gsm coated PVC
The heavy duty standard for outdoor banners. Suitable for wet weather and built for shops, sites and events.
B1 fire rated
Fire retardant material for venues, exhibitions and sites where a fire rating is required.
PVC free
Coated polyester alternatives for brands and venues that want to avoid PVC.
Hemming
An optional 15mm hem all round reinforces the edges for longer term outdoor use. Banners are supplied clean cut as standard, so ask for hemming when you quote.
Eyelets every 600mm
Included as standard for secure fitting. Fixing to fencing, scaffolding or a frame? Tell us the fixing points and we will advise.
Windy locations

What banner sizes can you print?
Popular sizes run from 0.5 × 1m to 1 × 3m, and we print custom sizes up to 20 × 3m. Send your width and height and we will confirm the best setup.
How quickly can I get a banner printed?
Standard turnaround is 4 working days for any size, and priority is 2 working days on express sizes up to 5 × 1m. For urgent jobs, same day banners are available on express sizes when artwork is approved by 2pm, Monday to Friday.
Are PVC banners waterproof?
Yes. Our outdoor banner materials are suitable for wet weather. If the location is exposed and windy, we will advise the right material and fixing, or a mesh banner.
Do banners include eyelets and hems?
Eyelets are included as standard every 600mm. Banners are supplied clean cut, and an optional 15mm hem all round is available on standard and priority turnaround for longer term outdoor use.
Do you offer fire rated banners?
Yes. B1 fire retardant banners are available when required by a venue, exhibition or site.
Do you offer PVC free banners?
Yes. Coated polyester alternatives are available on request.
What file should I send for banner printing?
A print ready PDF at full size, or to scale, is best. Set colour to CMYK and keep text clear of the edges where hems and eyelets go. See our templates and bleed guide.
