  3. Draw a shape in the area where you want your border to be.
  4. Navigate to Format > Shape Fill and select No Fill.
  5. Navigate to Format > To personalise your border, use the Shape Outline tool.
  6. Select Send to Back from the menu that appears when you right-click your border.

Image Insertion and Placement

  1. Go to Insert > Pictures.
  2. Select the images from your computer that you want to include in your design.
  3. To insert an image into a document, double-click it or click Insert.
  4. Drag the image’s edges to resize and rotate it.
  5. Drag your image into position.

Textbox Insertion and Placement

  1. Select Insert > Text Box from the menu.

Select Insert > Pictures.

If your image is hidden behind text or other images, right-click it and choose Bring to Front > Bring Forward to fix it.

  2. Create a textbox by clicking and dragging it onto the screen, then begin typing.
  3. Text size and font can be selected from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  4. Keep your finger on the Text tool to access additional options.

How to Create a Poster on Microsoft Publisher

A large number of people are familiar with Microsoft Office, which makes Publisher an excellent tool for beginning designers. In order to create a poster in Publisher, follow the steps below:

  1. Publisher should be launched.

  1. Formatting the textbox by selecting Format Text Box from the context menu of the right-clicked image
  2. Select the type of border that you want.
  3. To change the colour of the box, select Fill from the drop-down menu.

Adding a border to your poster is also an option.

  1. Select Shapes from the drop-down menu, and then select a rectangle.
  2. Create a border around your image by clicking and dragging your mouse along the screen (make sure it stays in your safety zone)
  3. Select Send Backward from the drop-down menu after clicking on the rectangle. In the Format tab, select Send to Back.
  4. Shape Fill is selected from the drop-down menu. There will be no fill.

Inserting Photographs
To include an image in your poster design on Publisher, follow these steps:

  1. Select Insert > Pictures from the drop-down menu.
  2. Select the image from your computer and press the Insert button.
  3. Drag your image to the desired location by clicking on it and dragging it.
  4. Drag the corners of the image to resize it.
  5. When you right click and select Wrap Text, the text will be wrapped around the image.
