Our story

Printpal London is run by Print Impress Limited, founded in December 2007.

  1. FranchiseesOur founders ran a print franchise, learning professional print standards

  3. TodayOur shop at 14 Hendon Lane, Finchley Central

We learned print the hard way, then built the print shop we would want to use.

Before starting Printpal, our founders were franchisees in a national print franchise network, among the youngest it had taken on. That is where they learned the discipline of professional print: proper quality checks, colour that stays consistent from one job to the next, and standards that do not slip when a deadline is tight.

They opened Printpal London on Ballards Lane to keep those standards and add something most printers had dropped: a real person looking after every order. As the business grew, we moved to our more central shop on Hendon Lane in Finchley Central.

Customers come to one team for printing, graphic design and websites. Most of our growth has come from word of mouth and from clients who have stayed with us for years, which we take as the clearest sign we are doing the job properly.

What happens in our shop

Your job is checked, printed and finished at Hendon Lane, not passed on to a supplier you have never heard of. That is what lets us promise same-day turnaround and stand behind the result.

Artwork checks

Every order, before it goes to press

We check size, bleed, resolution, fonts and colour on every file. If something will not print well, we tell you before you pay, and we can make minor fixes for you.

Summa cutting plotters

Custom-shaped stickers, labels and large cut-vinyl lettering are cut and finished by hand in-house, so one-off shapes and short runs do not come with high minimum quantities.

How an order works

The same five steps for a box of business cards or a full exhibition stand.

  1. Ask for a quote

Use the form below or call 020 8343 0099. Quotes usually come back within the hour during opening hours.

  2. Confirm the details

Your account manager confirms size, stock, finish, quantity, turnaround and delivery, then sends a written quote.

  3. Artwork check

We check your files before printing. For colour-critical jobs we can send a PDF proof to approve.

  4. Print and finish

Pay by secure link or bank transfer and the job goes to press. You receive a VAT invoice with every order.

  5. Collect or delivery

Collect from the shop, use same-day courier in London, or choose UK delivery with DPD.

Why we work with account managers, not upload portals

Many online printers rely on automated systems and customer-uploaded PDFs. That works when the files are perfect. When they are not, problems with bleed, resolution or colour tend to show up when the print arrives, and the reprint costs time and money.

So every Printpal customer gets one named contact who handles the order from start to finish: answering questions, checking artwork, overseeing print and finishing, and arranging delivery. It means fewer mistakes, fewer surprises, and someone who picks up the phone when a deadline is tight.

Alongside print we offer graphic design and website design, so you can come to one team for your printed materials, branding and online presence.
