Overview
Mesh banners are designed for high-wind and exposed outdoor locations where a solid PVC banner would create excessive wind load on fixings and structures. The breathable mesh surface allows air to pass through, reducing wind and weather damage while keeping your design visible from a distance. We print mesh banners in full colour for scaffolding, fencing, hoardings, construction sites and outdoor events across London.
Material and print
  • Material: 340gsm Mesh PVC — robust, waterproof and fade-resistant
  • Print: full colour, single sided
  • Weather resistance: the breathable mesh construction prevents wind and weather damage, making it suitable for exposed outdoor environments
  • Viewing distance: best suited to large format viewing — bold, simple designs work best
Sizes

Crowd Barrier: 2150 × 730mm — designed for barrier fencing at events and public spaces.Fence Panel: 3380 × 1740mm — designed for Heras and mobile fencing panels on construction sites.

Custom sizes: also available — tell us your required dimensions and we’ll quote accordingly.

Finishing
Reinforced hemming: heavy-duty hem on all sides for long-lasting outdoor use.Eyelets: heavy-duty metal eyelets available spaced every 600mm (including corners), corners only, or none — choose the option that suits your fixing method.
Sizes
Set your artwork to the finished print size. Standard sizes are:
Crowd Barrier: 2150 × 730mm
Fence Panel: 3380 × 1740mm
Custom sizes also available — send us your required dimensions.
Design tips for mesh
Because mesh has a perforated surface, fine detail and very small text can appear slightly softer than on solid PVC. Use bold fonts at a minimum of 10pt, keep designs simple and high contrast, and avoid intricate patterns or small text that could become harder to read in windy conditions. Simple, large-format designs read best at distance.
Resolution and bleed

Resolution: 300–450dpi at final size. Anything below 300dpi will give poor print quality.Bleed: include 3mm bleed on all sides. Add crop marks with a 10mm offset when exporting.

Safe zone: keep important text and logos inside the safe area to avoid trimming issues.

Colour
Set artwork to CMYK. RGB, Pantone or spot colours will be converted to CMYK on output which may affect your colour profile. If you have a specific brand colour, send a reference and we’ll advise before production.
Sending files

Preferred format: print-ready PDF (ideally PDF/X-1a:2001). Ensure all fonts are embedded or converted to outlines before export.

The right choice for windy and exposed outdoor sites
Solid PVC banners work well in sheltered locations, but on scaffolding, open fencing and construction sites they can put significant strain on fixings. Mesh PVC is designed for exactly these conditions — the breathable construction allows air to pass through rather than pushing against the structure, reducing wind load and prolonging the life of both the banner and its fixings. Our team will check your site details and artwork before production to make sure sizing, eyelet placement and finishing are right for how the banner is being installed.

Frequently asked questions

What material is used for mesh banners?

340gsm Mesh PVC — a robust, waterproof and fade-resistant material with a breathable construction that prevents wind and weather damage.

When should I use mesh instead of solid PVC?

Use mesh for scaffolding, Heras fencing, construction hoardings, crowd barriers and any exposed outdoor location. Solid PVC is better suited to sheltered or indoor environments.

What standard sizes are available?

Crowd Barrier (2150 × 730mm) for event barriers, and Fence Panel (3380 × 1740mm) for Heras and mobile fencing. Custom sizes are also available.

What eyelet options do you offer?

Eyelets spaced every 600mm including corners, corners only, or no eyelets. Tell us your fixing method and we’ll advise the best option.

Will the print look as sharp as solid PVC?

Fine detail softens slightly due to the mesh surface. Bold text, high contrast and large, simple designs all read well at distance — which is how mesh banners are typically viewed.

What resolution should my artwork be?

300–450dpi at final size. Below 300dpi will give poor print quality. Keep fonts at a minimum of 10pt and convert all fonts to outlines before exporting.
